We are currently seeking a Senior Lead Clinical Data Science Programmer to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Senior Lead Clinical Data Science Programmer at ICON, you will be instrumental in leading the development and implementation of advanced data science solutions for clinical trials. Your role will involve overseeing data programming activities, ensuring data integrity, and leveraging statistical analysis to support clinical research and decision-making.
What You Will Be Doing:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of clinical data science programming activities, including CDMS/EDC builds, data ingestion, extraction, validation, and risk-based analytics.
Act as the primary programming contact for one or more studies, supporting study teams with system development and technical queries.
Oversee the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for clinical data programming, including development, testing, validation, and QC.
Program and configure Veeva CDMS and Medidata Rave databases, including eCRF development and study builds.
Develop and maintain SAS programs for clinical data processing, validation, extracts, and reporting; use R/Python as required for analytics and automation.
Lead data quality, validation, and regulatory compliance activities across assigned studies.
Manage and mentor clinical data programmers, ensuring adherence to standards, timelines, and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver robust clinical data and analytics solutions.
Support platform upgrades, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Your Profile:
Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced certifications are advantageous.
Extensive experience in clinical data science programming or clinical data management within a CRO or pharmaceutical environment.
Strong hands-on experience with Veeva CDMS and/or Medidata Rave.
Advanced programming expertise in SAS; working knowledge of R and/or Python.
Proven leadership experience managing programming teams and complex clinical data projects.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
