Senior R Programmer Analyst, Real-World Data and Analytics
In this role, you will conduct hands-on programming (expert-level R, with proficiency in SAS also desired) in support of real-world data and analytics engagements, working under the guidance of our HEOR analytics leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and clarify analytic requests and study specifications, then execute queries against claims, EHR, and other real-world data sources with accuracy and high-quality documentation.
- Respond to project leadership requests in a timely manner, working independently to meet aggressive, shifting timelines.
- Communicate methods and results clearly and professionally, balancing attention to detail with the big picture.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or a related field, with 4-6 years of hands-on programming experience using healthcare data (7+ years for consideration at the Senior Programmer/Analyst level).
- Practical experience working with major claims databases (such as MarketScan, Optum, Medicare LDS SAF, or Komodo) and electronic health record data. Strong R skills, including Shiny, and working knowledge of SAS.
- Solid grounding in statistical techniques like survival analysis and generalized linear modeling.
