ROLE SUMMARY
As part of the Clinical Data Sciences (CDS) group, an integral delivery unit within the Clinical Development & Operations (CD&O) organization, the Data Scientist is responsible to assist Data Management leverage both internal and external data assets to achieve business insights, implement automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods by collaborating with cross-functional teams within the organization with an overall goal of enhancing tactical and strategic decision making. Requires a good understanding of technical and business aspects of Data Science, Clinical Trial data, and Data Management. Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and techniques is a plus. Must be able to understand the analytical needs of business users, and work with the Lead for AI and Data Sciences to translate the business needs into automation solutions.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all phases of Data Science life cycle development, including data discovery, labelling the data, working with tech team(s) to create hypothesis, assist in selecting models, test and evaluate models and model operationalization. Responsible for adhering to corporate reporting policy and controls to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and confidentiality of Data Management automation. Data scientist must be able to drive real business value working under the direction of Head of AI and Data Sciences by collaborating with Data Managers & Clinical Data Scientists
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree in Information technology, Computer science, Statistics, or related business degree with equivalent experience.Candidateshould have a strong understanding of relational databases and Clinical Trial data to facilitate data wrangling, model operationalization, and exploration of data.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Understanding of models like Classification, Linear Regression, Random Forest, Support Vector Machines etc.
