DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative team as a Data Analytics Manager and help advance Thermo Fisher Scientific's mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this key role, you'll lead a team of data professionals while developing and implementing innovative data solutions that support strategic decision-making across the organization.
You'll oversee the development and maintenance of data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and reliability. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll translate complex business requirements into actionable insights and drive continuous improvement in our data management processes. Your expertise will be valuable in developing scalable data solutions, implementing governance frameworks, and promoting a data-driven culture.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to deliver valuable insights that inform strategic decisions and improve business outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and prioritize projects, coordinating departmental or cross-functional teams to deliver project results
Conduct analytics including business performance analysis, risk and opportunity analysis, pipeline analysis, digital analytics, and big data analytics
Build standard reports to provide visibility to leadership with objective data points to enable data driven decisions.
Drive continuous improvement and reengineering of operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Collaborate with teams in both finance and commercial operations to successfully implement projects
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related field
• Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Engineering, or related field
• Professional certifications in data analytics, project management, or related areas beneficial
• 3+ years people management experience leading technical teams
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, SAS, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and enterprise data warehouse solutions
• Advanced knowledge of ETL processes and data pipeline development
• Expertise in data governance, quality management, and security best practices
• Strong project management skills with experience in Agile methodologies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) preferred
• Proven track record of implementing data-driven solutions and process improvements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
• Travel up to 25% as required
• Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills
• Strong business acumen and ability to align data strategies with organizational goals
