ROLE SUMMARY
The Site Digital & Automation Lead is a key member of the Site Leadership Team and the PGS Network & Automation organization. This role provides senior‑level leadership and accountability for all digital and automation capabilities at the site, serving as the primary partner to Site Leadership and above‑site stakeholders.
The role is accountable for shaping, owning, and executing the site’s integrated digital and automation portfolio, ensuring alignment with site business priorities, compliance requirements, and network strategies. The Site Digital & Automation Lead drives value creation through disciplined investment prioritization, portfolio governance, and lifecycle management of digital, automation, and infrastructure solutions.
This role leads and develops site digital and automation teams, ensuring reliable operations, cybersecurity, data integrity, Quality and Safety compliance, and effective delivery of both capital and expense portfolios.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Site Leadership & Strategy
Serve as a full member of the Site Leadership Team, representing digital and automation interests in site strategy, planning, and performance discussions.
Act as the single accountable leader for IT and OT capabilities at the site, ensuring clear ownership and alignment.
Translate site business priorities into an integrated digital and automation roadmap aligned with network direction.
Portfolio & Delivery Ownership
Own the site digital and automation capital and expense portfolios, including investment prioritization, governance, and benefits realization.
Ensure successful delivery of programs and projects in alignment with compliance, reliability, cost, and schedule expectations.
Drive standardization by deploying approved network platforms and solutions while managing site‑specific needs.
Operational Reliability & Compliance
Ensure stable, secure, and compliant operation of site digital and automation systems.
Maintain accountability for cybersecurity, business continuity, disaster recovery, and infrastructure reliability at the site.
Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to ensure systems meet GMP, data integrity, and audit readiness requirements.
People Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop site digital and automation colleagues and extended contract resources.
Build strong capabilities across IT/OT convergence, automation, data, and operational technologies.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and talent development.
Stakeholder & Network Collaboration
Serve as the primary interface between the site and the PGS Network & Automation organization.
Collaborate with global Digital and Automation teams, solution owners, and enabling functions to accelerate value realization.
Actively participate in network initiatives and contribute best practices across sites.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business Management (advanced degree preferred).
Significant experience leading digital, automation, or technology teams in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
Demonstrated people‑management and stakeholder‑influence experience.
Strong understanding of IT/OT, automation systems, and manufacturing operations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience operating in a manufacturing site environment with shop‑floor exposure.
Proven ability to lead in a matrixed, global organization.
Experience driving digital transformation, automation standardization, and operational improvement initiatives.
