Our client, an industry leader in automotive manufacturing, is seeking a Industrial Design Engineer to join their team. As an Industrial Design Engineer, you will be part of the Industrial Engineering department supporting various manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong collaboration skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Industrial Design Engineer
Location: Kansas City, KS
Monday – Friday 1st shift - 6:30AM – 3PM
What's the Job?
- Support process improvements across manufacturing departments such as body shop, paint shop, and general assembly
- Assist with line balancing and throughput activities to enhance productivity
- Identify and drive waste reduction initiatives to improve quality and efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support material flow and operational excellence
- Participate in daily meetings and ad hoc discussions to address operational challenges
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial Engineering
- Experience with layout design software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Internship or manufacturing experience, ideally in an automotive or unionized environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Open to candidates with 0-2 years of experience, including recent graduates and interns
